Club Manager – Ray North

Ray founded the club in 1988 and has continued to manage it since. With the backing of loyal players the club has grown to a level whereby it has earned the reputation of being one of the top clubs in local league basketball.

Head Coach – Paul Philp

Paul has been with the club since 1996 and as an international player gaining 35 England caps. Paul also gained 25 caps for Great Britain and represented GB in the Montreal Olympics in 1976.

Paul played for Solent Stars from 1980 until 1986 when he took up a coaching role with them.  Prior to joining Solent Stars he spent one season with Kingston and ten years with Crystal Palace.

Assistant Coach – Iain Warner

Iain has ably assisted Paul since 1996 and in addition to his coaching role he has other interests in basketball these being as a player and a national league referee.

Club Captain – Rosie Chase

Rosie started playing basketball at the age of nine playing alongside her brother at his training sessions. She went on to play for her County, South West England and at National League level and in addition obtained a scholarship to play in the United States for Devils Lake.

Rosie unfortunately suffered an extremely bad leg injury at the beginning of the 2011/12 season and was unable to play the remainder of the season.  The injury was such that she did not compete in the following season.

The good news is she is fully recovered and has participated in pre-season training with no ill effects. 

The whole team are really happy to see Rosie back on court and returning to form.
